Intercity Escalator is an electro-synth duo producing nocturnal electronic music inspired by urban transit and late-night skylines. Combining vintage synth hardware with modern production, the duo explores themes of motion, solitude, and signal noise. Formed in 2025 in the light of Mainz leuchtet, the project unites two contrasting creative forces: one older, driven by a restless musical eccentricity that bends convention, and one younger, guided by a disciplined musical mind with a focus on structure and clarity. Together, they create soundscapes where chaos and order coexist, echoing the pulse of the modern city.
